Hi, I'm Jason – the Concept Design Architect. For the last 18 years, I have worked as a Design Architect. I have produced concept proposals for several prestigious firms. I have improved my design and presentation workflow, making my studio time pleasant. I return home after work without exhausting myself. I have contributed to and designed hundreds of large-scale mixed-use projects. These include high-rise towers, hospitals, resorts, retail center's and residential homes.
In my architectural career, I faced a significant design challenge. .high-pressure design presentation deadlines can be the demise of any Architect. Stress and long hours can be occupational hazards. Working under such strain is unpleasant. It takes its toll on the quality of work, health and lifestyle. I learned to streamline my 3D design and presentation workflow. I did this without compromising the amazing quality of my final imagery, at first I thought I was downgrading but as time moved on I realized that this mix of tools and workflow was simply transforming my career. I also learned how to celebrate technology as a creative and presentation tool, liberating my creative ability by using tech as a tool and not a means to an end
Communication of 3d imagery conveying design ideas is essential. Clients are not trained to understand complex drawings. For example, elevations, sections, and plans. A 3D perspective is a vital tool. It allows the architect to bridge the communication gap. The gap between the clients' understanding of the the scheme and the architect's design process. The virtual toolset can sometime overwhelm designers, and make them shy away from using the the PC as a design set of tools the same way that Frank Lloyd Wright would have used a Setsquare and Ruler and Rotring Pen., reverting to paper and pen, but it daunt have to be that way,
Most designers competent with 3D technology rely on high-end realism to convey design, and some just cough out the imagery from their design software's . For a master of perspectives, the photorealistic process is intense, demanding, and time-consuming. and for hand rendered imagery can be daunting time wise, and the need to come to grips with a skill over a period of years to perfect the talent.
The trick for a designer is to simplify the 3d communication toolset and workflow using the PC;s set of tools.. In response to this challenge, the creators of the "Artful Render Sketch like Technique" swiftly developed a method, that brings both world together, the ease of use for tech phobic designers and the power of the most streamlined selected tools that one can find on the PC.
This process creates perspective imagery in a fraction of the time. High-end photorealistic imagery typically take days longer. This does not mean that Photorealism is counterproductive. I suggest it's unnecessary to waste countless hours on top-heavy render processes when the project is in its infancy and in its design phase, where evolving needs a set of dynamic tools.
The Artful 3D Presentation Workflow is a process between high-end rendering and rough model exports from your favorite software. The final result completes what looks like a natural hand sketch rendering that is computer-generated in a fraction of the time it may usually take.
If you are currently struggling with preparing 3d perspectives, I will be sharing this more leisurely way of communicating 3d Models. below you can find some of the recent student work from the Artful Render Master's Program.
