THE DESIGN ARCHITECTS LAUNCH FORMULA
THE ARTFUL SKETCHLIKE RENDER & D5 METHOD
THE ARTFUL SKETCHLIKE RENDER & D5 METHOD
Transform your architecture portfolio into a captivating narrative of your design journey by incorporating dynamic perspectives and the power of artificial intelligence (AI). This approach serves as an add-on to traditional renders, offering enhanced control over the design process.
AI Renders:
Integrating AI into your rendering process can streamline workflow, enhance the quality of your visuals, and provide greater control over the design process. AI-powered tools assist in generating photo-realistic renders more efficiently, refining hand-drawn elements, and optimizing the overall presentation of your architectural vision.
Photo-realistic Renders:
Utilizing software to create highly detailed and realistic 3D representations of architectural designs. While effective, this method can be time-consuming and requires technical expertise.
Hand Renders Over Sketches:
Hand-drawn sketches can convey a unique artistic quality and express the architect's vision in a more personal way. This method allows for creative expression and is particularly effective for conceptual designs.
Hand Renders Over CAD Images:
Combining digital CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings with hand-rendered elements can create a visually compelling hybrid approach. This method leverages the precision of CAD while adding a human touch with hand-rendered details.
Fine Liner Sketches:
Fine liners are used for precise line work and detailing. Architects often use them to add definition and clarity to their drawings, creating crisp and polished renderings with intricate details.
Copic Markers
Copic markers are alcohol-based and oil-based markers known for their vibrant colors and blending capabilities. Architects use them to add depth and dimension to their renderings, creating visually appealing and professional-looking perspectives.
Watercolors
Watercolor painting offers a traditional and expressive method for rendering architectural perspectives. It allows architects to capture the mood and atmosphere of a design while conveying a sense of fluidity and movement.
Artful Sketch-like Perspective:
This method utilizes technology to create perspectives that mimic hand-drawn sketches. Architects can leverage computer software to quickly generate sketches while still incorporating a human touch and artistic elements. This approach combines the convenience of digital tools with the warmth and personalization of hand-drawn sketches, resulting in visually appealing and expressive renderings.
Urban Sketches:
Urban sketches involve on-location drawing of cityscapes, buildings, and streetscapes. Architects use this method to capture the essence of urban environments, emphasizing spontaneity and capturing the character of the surroundings through quick sketches and loose lines.
Hi, I'm Jason – the Concept Design Architect. For the last 18 years, I have worked as a Design Architect. I have produced concept proposals for several prestigious firms. I have improved my design and presentation workflow, making my studio time pleasant. I return home after work without exhausting myself. I have contributed to and designed hundreds of large-scale mixed-use projects. These include high-rise towers, hospitals, resorts, retail center's and residential homes.
In my architectural career, I faced a significant design challenge. .high-pressure design presentation deadlines can be the demise of any Architect. Stress and long hours can be occupational hazards. Working under such strain is unpleasant. It takes its toll on the quality of work, health and lifestyle. I learned to streamline my 3D design and presentation workflow. I did this without compromising the amazing quality of my final imagery, at first I thought I was downgrading but as time moved on I realized that this mix of tools and workflow was simply transforming my career. I also learned how to celebrate technology as a creative and presentation tool, liberating my creative ability by using tech as a tool and not a means to an end
Communication of 3d imagery conveying design ideas is essential. Clients are not trained to understand complex drawings. For example, elevations, sections, and plans. A 3D perspective is a vital tool. It allows the architect to bridge the communication gap. The gap between the clients' understanding of the the scheme and the architect's design process. The virtual toolset can sometime overwhelm designers, and make them shy away from using the the PC as a design set of tools the same way that Frank Lloyd Wright would have used a Setsquare and Ruler and Rotring Pen., reverting to paper and pen, but it daunt have to be that way,
Most designers competent with 3D technology rely on high-end realism to convey design, and some just cough out the imagery from their design software's . For a master of perspectives, the photorealistic process is intense, demanding, and time-consuming. and for hand rendered imagery can be daunting time wise, and the need to come to grips with a skill over a period of years to perfect the talent.
The trick for a designer is to simplify the 3d communication toolset and workflow using the PC;s set of tools.. In response to this challenge, the creators of the "Artful Render Sketch like Technique" swiftly developed a method, that brings both world together, the ease of use for tech phobic designers and the power of the most streamlined selected tools that one can find on the PC.
This process creates perspective imagery in a fraction of the time. High-end photorealistic imagery typically take days longer. This does not mean that Photorealism is counterproductive. I suggest it's unnecessary to waste countless hours on top-heavy render processes when the project is in its infancy and in its design phase, where evolving needs a set of dynamic tools.
The Artful 3D Presentation Workflow is a process between high-end rendering and rough model exports from your favorite software. The final result completes what looks like a natural hand sketch rendering that is computer-generated in a fraction of the time it may usually take.
If you are currently struggling with preparing 3d perspectives, I will be sharing this more leisurely way of communicating 3d Models.
I also offer 10 transformation's a month free to those designers that are searching for better ways , and feedback o process.
STUDENT WORK - ARTFUL SKETCH-LIKE RENDER MASTERS PROGRAMME
Line Work is essential to make an image look Handcrafted especially for an Architecture Portfolio
Line work helps to define the form, structure, and character of architectural elements within the interior space. It adds depth, dimension, and clarity to the image, allowing viewers to better understand the design intent and spatial relationships. By carefully controlling line weight, architects can emphasize certain features while subtly delineating others, creating a balanced and harmonious composition.
In the context of architectural portfolios, where architects showcase their design skills and aesthetic sensibilities, the inclusion of handcrafted line work is essential. It demonstrates the architect's attention to detail, precision, and dedication to their craft. Moreover, it distinguishes their work from computer-generated imagery, highlighting the unique artistic expression and personal touch inherent in hand-drawn or digitally rendered line work.
The term "dovetail effect" in the context of line work in perspectives refers to a technique where lines extend slightly beyond their intended end points, creating a sense of depth and dimensionality within the composition. This technique mimics the visual phenomenon observed in dovetail joints, where one piece of wood is fitted precisely into another, creating a seamless and strong connection.
When applied to architectural perspectives, overshooting the lines can produce a similar effect, enhancing the illusion of space and form within the rendering. By extending lines slightly beyond their actual termination points, architects can create the impression that surfaces recede or converge in space, adding realism and dynamism to the image.
